Book Your Initial Consultation

What the initial consultation involves

The initial consultation is a focused clinical session with Ella, where we build a genuine understanding of your child or yourself, the concerns, the history, and what you are hoping to achieve. It is the foundation that everything else is shaped around, and the difference between generic support and care that is truly individualised.

  • A thorough, unhurried clinical conversation with Ella directly
  • A careful understanding of the concerns, history and goals
  • Clinical reasoning about what is likely contributing and why
  • A clear, individualised recommendation for the right next step

You leave with clarity, direction, and a sense of exactly how Ella can help, the considered, professional starting point that quality outcomes are built on.

For Referrers & Professionals

Working alongside your team

Integrate & Regulate welcomes referrals from GPs, paediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, schools and allied health colleagues. Care is collaborative by design, with clear communication and a shared goal of supporting the child or client well.

Thorough assessment

Structured, individualised assessment across reflex, sensory and functional domains, with findings and recommendations clearly documented.

Clear communication

Timely, professional liaison and written reports, with consent, to keep the team around the child aligned.

Defined scope

A registered Occupational Therapist working within scope, referring on where another service is the better fit.

Referrers are warmly welcome to call or email to discuss a potential referral or the suitability of the approach for a particular child or client.

What Happens Next

What to expect after you reach out

Taking the first step can feel big, so here is exactly what happens once you get in touch, so you know what to expect every step of the way.

1

Your initial consultation

A dedicated clinical conversation about your child or yourself, and what you are hoping to support. We begin to shape the right path together. There is no referral needed to begin.

2

Your assessment pathway

A warm, thorough assessment, the Developmental and Sensory Screen, with the school picture added if helpful, builds a clear, individualised picture, with recommendations tailored to your goals.

3

We choose the right path together

With that clarity, we choose the program or support that fits best, at a pace and in a format that suits your family.

4

We begin, and stay alongside you

The work begins, with ongoing support, home programs and collaboration so progress feels steady and supported.

Funding & Payment

Clear and flexible options

A full schedule of fees is shared before you begin, so everything feels clear and there are no surprises. Payment is due at the time of service, and a range of funding options are warmly welcomed.

Private

Pay as you go, with a clear schedule of fees provided up front. Invoices are issued for every session, and no referral is required.

Private Health

Many private health funds offer rebates for Occupational Therapy under extras cover. Please check your level of cover with your provider, and I can supply the receipts you need to claim.

NDIS

Warmly welcoming self managed and plan managed participants, for both Occupational Therapy and behaviour support. See the NDIS Services page for the full range of supports.

Medicare CDM

With a valid Chronic Disease Management plan from your GP, Medicare offers up to five sessions a year with a rebate of around $61.80 per session.

Clear pricing and the funding options that apply are outlined within each service area, so you always have the full detail relevant to the support you are considering. A complete schedule of fees is shared before you begin.

Good To Know

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral to start?

No referral is needed to begin. You are welcome to reach out directly at any time. If you are claiming through Medicare or certain funding, some paperwork may be needed, and I can help you understand what applies to you.

How do I know which program is right?

You do not need to decide on your own. We work this out together after your assessment pathway, choosing the program that best fits your child, your goals and your family. Your initial consultation is a good place to start talking it through.

What ages do you work with?

The developmental and reflex integration work focuses on children, while telehealth psychotherapy supports young adults. Whoever you are here for, there is a path for you.

How far in advance do I need to book?

As soon as you get in touch, I will do my best to organise a time right away. Holiday Intensives tend to fill quickly, so booking with as much notice as possible is always best to secure your preferred dates.

Will I always see the same therapist?

Yes, always. You work with Ella directly, every session, so you receive consistent, high quality care from someone who truly knows your story. You are never passed along to someone else, and that continuity is part of what makes the work effective.

Do I need to pay for travel?

Yes, travel is always charged, calculated from Bondi Junction. It is best thought of as the time required for your therapist to leave and, allowing for traffic, arrive on time for your session. Travel is charged pro rata.

What is your cancellation policy?

At least 24 hours notice is appreciated for any change or cancellation, so the time can be offered to another family. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, non attendance, or missed appointments are charged in full.

Ready to begin?

Reach out whenever you feel ready. Together we can bring specialist support home, into the everyday spaces where your child is most themselves.
